We are looking for a talented Business Developer to join our team in the Joensuu, Finland office. Previous working experience as a Business Developer in robotics, automation or software development is a strong plus.
You would be working with international teams of developers building the future of the construction industry with robots. Work at Karelics crosses the nation’s borders. Our main working language is English, thus strong communication skills in English are required. Our main customers are in Germany, thus strong communication skills in German are required.
We expect from you:
- You have experience in finding new business approaches and building them from scratch
- You have strong problem solving skills
- You have an ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
- You have experience in sales, marketing or some related field
- You have a good understanding of product development processes
- You understand how to build something on your own and what is needed
- You have good communication and writing skills in English and German
- You want to bring our solutions to the construction robots everywhere to make sites smarter
- You are interested in current trends in technologies
- You are ready to travel (mainly EU) and able to drive a car
- You have strong presentation skills

- You have experience in cloud systems development based on microservice
- You have strong communication skills and IT fluency

- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, economics, marketing, business (or similar)
- You have experience in product development
- You have experience in robotics or machine learning
- You have >3 years experience as Business developer
- You live in Joensuu or would like to relocate there
- You speak Finnish or Russian or are willing to learn them
You will do:
- You will contact potential clients to establish collaboration and arrange meetings
- You will plan and implement new business initiatives
- You will create roadmaps with the sales & marketing
- You will research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities
- You will increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones
- You will find and develop new markets and improve sales
- You will plan, organize and attend conferences, exhibitions, meetings, and industry events
- You will develop quotes and proposals for clients
- You will develop goals for the development team and business growth and ensure they are met
- You will prepare the research projects and documentation
- You will participate in company development, roadmap, working with different robotic companies, acquiring new, working with construction companies, solving their problems with robots
- You will bring leads into deals with the sales
